Why use Jewellery Photography by Ward?

Diversity seems to sum up the contemporary jewellery scene. Diversity in the range of jewellery businesses promoting their work (from wholesale, to retail, to designers and studio-makers) and the breadth of materials used in the creative process.

Jewellery traditionally has encompassed a combination of beautiful and amazing materials, among them gold, silver, and other precious metals and stones. Contemporary design has expanded the range to include other materials such as glass, acrylic - even wool. Every piece poses its own particular technical challenges to the photographer. As such, you need high levels of technical expertise and a creative approach from the photographer to ensure that the photography can satisfy its marketing purpose and match the range of materials possible.

Like any expert I have invested a lot of time in honing my photography skills and expertise to a high level. This has been recognised by my profession, I am an award-winning BIPP photographer (see bottom of this page for further details), and these skills along with continual investment in a quality professional photographic studio mean I can produce photographic work of a very high standard.

On this website I show a selection of the jewellery photography I have created; subjects include both high quality manufactured pieces for the retail market and individual hand made and commissioned jewellery.

If your work poses what you think is a particular photographic challenge and you would like to discuss it, I am very happy to do so. This is a difficult photographic field and it is important to know that your photographer has in-depth understanding of the challenges and a great deal of technical knowledge and skill to be able to capture that great shot. Like my clients I am passionate about what I do. It is this degree of commitment which produces such high quality results. 

Although based in the Lake District, Cumbria, I provide a service to clients throughout the UK, using postal and courier services. By using the internet, clients can be sure of a high degree of involvement in the process of creative shoots even at a distance. Geography is not a barrier to benefitting from our high quality jewellery photography service.
